Our Students Are Ready for School!

Monday is the first day of school for many of our students, and THEY ARE READY!

Pencil pouches have been stuffed; their shoes fit; and they have an ample supply of socks and underwear–and a sturdy backpack too. Some even got fresh haircuts!

Our volunteers surrounded our students like extended family. They helped them pick out the perfect Vans shoes, asked them which school supplies they need, and connected with them about their upcoming grade and what they are most nervous and most excited about.

We got to meet new babies, see how tall many kids have grown and hear from a few kids who are already attending school at Preuss UCSD! Our kids were grateful for all of the supplies you all provided to make this day happen. It took a literal army to pull it off. We cannot thank you enough. We have the best army ever.

See Who Won the Raffle!

Thanks to a generous donation from a local business, we raffled off a brand new Playstation 4 with many games. It was all the talk at the Back 2 School Bash. The winner was a high school student who ran over to receive it within minutes of receiving a text telling him of his good fortune (his siblings happily ran too)!

Tutor Survey Coming Monday!

If you have tutored with us during the past two school years, you will be receiving a survey on Monday from SDRT that will take you less than a minute to fill out. We need your input as we plan for the fall trimester of tutoring!

Please do the survey as soon as you can! Thank you in advance for your time!

Tutoring starts on Tues.,
Sept. 28th, 2021!
(Details coming soon- after the survey!)
