Meet Our Scholarship Recipients.
Thanks to the Jodi Maroney Memorial Scholarship Fund (Jodi is featured with a SDRT student in the photo above), we have the privilege of supporting students’ dreams once they finish high school.
SDRT selected seven college students representing a combination of current and former tutoring recipients for the 2023 Jodi Maroney Memorial Scholarship. They received a total of $7200 in individual scholarships. Now in its third year, The JMMSF was created by Jodi’s close family members and dear friends and continues to be supported by those who knew and loved Jodi as well as other caring SDRT donors. Jodi Maroney was a tutor with SDRT whose dedication to the success of our students lives on through this scholarship.
Our scholarship recipients are:

Even though Justin came to the United States as an 8th grader without knowing a word of English, he is drawn to Marketing due to his strong communication skills that he developed during his time with SDRT. Through the connections he made with his tutors, his confidence soared and helped him graduate high school and enter college.
