New Tutor Orientation #1: Winter 2024

Join us for an Orientation to jump-start your volunteering with us—required before you join us for your first tutoring session.
A BACKGROUND CHECK IS NOT NEEDED TO JOIN US FOR ORIENTATION, but must be completed before tutoring.
During Orientation we’ll cover the following items:
- Who SDRT is
- What we do
- How to get involved
- Tour of classrooms & resources
- Tips for tutoring
BEFORE VOLUNTEERING, ALL TUTORS NEED TO BE REGISTERED WITH US, GO THRU THE STEPS, AND COMPLETE A BACKGROUND CHECK FOR EACH SCHOOL YEAR. THE SCHOOL DISTRICT’S TB FORM MUST ALSO BE COMPETED.
