It wasn’t any ol’ week at SDRT. We organized, rallied, incentived and produced! Check it out in numbers!
- We fully assessed 92 students (ages kinder-12th) on a Saturday with both an English and Math Assessment!
- We simultaneously held 2 Parent Empowerment Workshops where parents were able to ask questions they have about the American education system, how to interpret grades, build healthy habits and much more! A delicious lunch was provided as well.
- 27 parents attended the workshops and they were translated into 6 languages
- We had 2 guest speakers from San Diego Unified School District as well as 1 retired SDUSD principal to share insight with our parents
- We trained 37 more volunteers at our New Tutor Orientation on Monday night
- We averaged 75 students who came to get academic support on Tuesday and Thursday night
- We hosted 2 art sessions at tutoring thanks to 2 amazing volunteer art instructors
- We had 1 “It’s Improv” session for our Middle and High School Students
- We distributed 120 boxes of feminine products to our young women this week
- We supported 1 family in need with groceries on Sunday
