Our Refugee Kids went Bowling and Dominated the Lanes!

Thanks to your financial generosity over the year, SDRT is able to put together phenomenal field trips such as this past weekend’s bowling adventure.

Approximately 140 of us arrived and basically took over Kearny Mesa Bowl from about 3:30pm until 6:30pm. The kids got into their bowling shoes in record time and the volunteers hastily figured out how to set up the scoreboards (thank goodness many of the kids could help!). We all scoured the place for the lightest bowling balls possible and within minutes, bumpers were up and kids (and tutors) were exhibiting their amazing bowling skills. High fives, laughter and dance moves were seen up and down the lanes.

The real energy came out once the glow sticks were passed out and the lights went off and the music was turned up. Thank you for helping us make these priceless memories with our students.
